Adjustable gastric band surgery: This procedure involves placing an adjustable band around the upper part of the stomach, limiting the amount of food that can be consumed.
Biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch: In this procedure, the surgeon removes a portion of the stomach and reroutes the small intestine to reduce the absorption of calories and nutrients.
Bariatric surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia and can take several hours to complete. After the surgery, patients are closely monitored to ensure that they recover safely and effectively
